All data is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit.
Only You Can See Your Data
Your conversations, analyses, and personal insights are private to you. We cannot and do not read them.
Delete Anytime
You can delete any or all of your data at any time. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
No Selling. No Sharing.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
1. Information We Collect
Fluent collects only the information necessary to provide and improve our service. This includes:
- Account information: Your email address and name, used for authentication and to identify your account.
- Conversation audio: Audio recordings captured by your wearable device, processed to generate transcripts and insights. Audio is processed and then deleted from our servers.
- Transcripts and analyses: Text transcripts of your conversations and AI-generated insights such as mood analysis, goal scoring, and daily summaries.
- App usage data: Basic analytics such as feature usage and error reports to help us improve the app. This data is anonymized and never tied to your conversation content.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Fluent service.
- Generate transcripts, insights, and analyses from your conversations.
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
- Send you important service-related communications (e.g., security alerts).
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance.
We do not use your conversation data to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
3. Data Storage and Security
All data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption at rest and protected by TLS 1.2 or higher during transmission. Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which maintains industry-leading security certifications.
Access to production systems is strictly limited and protected by multi-factor authentication. We regularly review our security practices and infrastructure to ensure your data remains protected.
4. Who Can See Your Data
Only you. Your conversations, transcripts, and insights are private to your account. Fluent employees cannot access your conversation content. We do not have a mechanism to view individual user data in the normal course of operations.
We will only access account-level information (not conversation content) if required to provide technical support you have requested, or if compelled by valid legal process.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Fluent:
- Auth0: For secure authentication and account management.
- OpenAI: For AI-powered conversation analysis. Data sent to OpenAI is used solely to process your request and is not used by OpenAI to train their models. We have a data processing agreement in place.
- Deepgram: For speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed in real time and not retained by Deepgram.
- Amazon Web Services: For secure cloud hosting and data storage.
- RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat does not have access to your conversation data.
We do not share your data with any advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies that would use it for profiling or targeted advertising.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Audio recordings are processed to generate transcripts and then deleted from our servers. Transcripts, analyses, and other derived data are retained in your account until you choose to delete them.
You can delete individual memories, conversations, or your entire account at any time from within the app. When you delete data, it is permanently removed from our systems. Account deletion removes all associated data and is irreversible.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data associated with your account.
- Delete any or all of your data at any time.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.

8. Children's Privacy
Fluent is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of Fluent after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
