Using Fluent

Copy or send a meeting note

3 min read

A meeting note is easy to get out of Fluent: copy the text, or hand it to another app.

Copy the notes or the transcript

  1. Open a meeting note.
  2. Tap the share icon at the top of the note.
  3. Under Copy or send the text, tap Copy notes for the note's sections (summary, key points, decisions and action items in the standard format) as Markdown. Tap Copy transcript for the full conversation, one line per line of the transcript, with the speaker's name and the time when Fluent has it.
  4. The button says Copied! for two seconds. Paste it anywhere.

Send the note as a file

  1. In the same Copy or send the text section, tap Send as a file.
  2. Fluent makes a Markdown (.md) file and opens the iOS share sheet.
  3. Pick where it goes: Save to Files, Mail, or another app that accepts files.

What it doesn't do

Fluent doesn't export PDF or Word files. Copying and sending are manual: Copy and Send as a file don't upload anything, and nothing is shared until you paste the text or pick where the file goes.

A share link is a separate choice in the same sheet: Fluent makes a one-time link only when you tap Copy Link or Share via.

Related questions

What format does Copy notes use?

Markdown: the title and date, then the note's sections. For a note in the standard format that is the summary, key points, decisions, action items and the per-role summaries; a note in a custom format copies its own sections. It pastes as plain Markdown text into Notes, Mail, a doc or a CRM note field.

Why is there no Copy transcript button on some notes?

The button only appears when the note has a transcript.

Can I export a PDF or a Word file?

Not today. Fluent copies text and sends a Markdown file. If you need a PDF, paste the text into an app that makes one.
