Send action items to Google Tasks or Apple Reminders

Fluent turns a meeting into action items, separates what's yours from what you're waiting on, and asks before keeping the ones it isn't sure about.

Every conversation produces commitments — most die on the drive home. With task extraction on, Fluent pulls action items from what was actually said and sends them to the task list you already use.

Turn it on

Task extraction is on for accounts created on or after October 9, 2026. Older accounts keep the setting they had, which is off unless you turned it on: open Settings → Automations & Integrations and switch on Tasks. Then connect one of the apps below.

Google Tasks

  1. In Settings → Automations & Integrations, tap Google Tasks.
  2. Sign in with Google and allow access to your tasks.

Apple Reminders

  1. In Settings → Automations & Integrations, tap Apple Reminders.
  2. Grant the iOS Reminders permission — no account setup.

If both are connected, Fluent sends each task to one of them: Apple Reminders by default, or the one you pick for work and personal tasks.

What the task carries

"Send Sarah the revised scope" — which scope, which meeting? Google Tasks gets the exact quote that produced the task in its notes. Apple Reminders gets a note that Fluent created it, with the date. The task stays in Fluent's Tasks list too. Check it off in Reminders and Fluent checks it off the next time you open Tasks. For Google Tasks, tap Sync Now in Settings → Automations & Integrations to bring completions back.

What counts as an action item?

Commitments spoken in a conversation — 'I'll send the proposal Friday,' 'can you loop in legal by Tuesday.' When task extraction is on, Fluent pulls them out with the quote and any deadline that was said.

Do action items go straight to my task list?

The ones Fluent is confident about do. Less certain ones wait in Fluent's review queue until you approve them. You can raise or lower that confidence bar in Settings → Automations & Integrations.

Can I use a different task app?

Today Fluent sends tasks to Google Tasks or Apple Reminders. Tasks still in Fluent are also available to AI clients through the MCP server.
