The decision
Pick Pocket if your important conversations are in person or on the phone, and you want a dedicated device that records offline and catches both sides of a call without speakerphone.
Pick Granola if most of your meetings are calls at your computer and you like typing notes that AI then fleshes out. Its phone app covers the in-person meetings too.
Pocket's subscription pricing changes often; the table uses the price on heypocket.com on the date checked.
The third option
Fluent records the room from the iPhone you already carry, or from a Limitless or Omi pendant, so there's no device to buy. Then it turns each conversation into the commitments people made, a profile of everyone you talk to, and coaching from what was said. Your conversations are never used to train models.

Questions
What is Pocket?
Pocket (heypocket.com) is a card-sized AI voice recorder that attaches to your phone with MagSafe. It records in-person conversations and both sides of phone calls through a contact mic, and transcribes and summarizes them in its app.
Is Pocket or Granola better?
For in-person meetings and phone calls with a dedicated device, Pocket. For calls at your computer with notes you type yourself, Granola. Neither joins your calls with a bot.
Do I need a recorder like Pocket?
Not for meetings: Granola and Fluent both record in person from your phone. A device helps for long recordings or phone calls. Fluent also pairs with a Limitless or Omi pendant for all-day capture.
