Where Plaud wins
Plaud is the more finished bundle. The NotePin is small, the case is nice, the app is coherent, and the transcription accuracy is good. If you want one company to sell you the whole stack — hardware, sync, notes, done — Plaud delivers that.
It's also the only option on this page that works if you refuse to think about components. One SKU, one app, one subscription. There's real value in that.
Where Fluent wins
Fluent is what the meeting turns into afterward. Plaud's app gives you a transcript and a summary. Fluent gives you the summary, the commitments each person made, a profile of everyone you talk to that deepens over months, a coach that heard the actual conversation, and a calendar agent that puts the follow-ups on your calendar.
It also doesn't make you buy hardware. If a Limitless or Omi pendant is already sitting on your desk, Fluent is the software layer it was missing. If you don't own a pendant at all, phone capture is rolling out — which makes the $159 hardware question optional instead of mandatory.
And the data exits. Fluent exposes your conversations through an MCP server, so your meeting memory can answer questions inside Claude or ChatGPT instead of staying inside one vendor's app.

One honest limitation: Fluent doesn't integrate with Plaud hardware. If you buy a NotePin, you live in Plaud's app — which is fine, as long as notes are all you want.
